Take in spectacular landscapes as you drive through the heart of Tuscany towards Liguria to the first stop of the day, and one of the oldest villages of the Cinque Terre, Manarola. Meander the narrow alleys and pretty pastel squares that epitomize the beauty of the area, and perhaps sample some renowned local wine at a cozy wine bar (own expense).
Afterward, meet your tour guide at a pre-arranged time and embark on an awe-inspiring boat ride to Vernazza. As you glide along the on waves, appreciate the beauty of the dramatic coastline, perfectly framed against the hills.
Disembark at the village of Vernazza, the second stop of the day, and arguably the most beautiful of the five villages. Boasting a large natural port, a 15th-century castle, and the tiny Chapel of Santa Marta, located on Vernazza's main street. Enjoy some free time to explore the town, and find out what makes this quaint village so remarkable. Whilst here, why not have a relaxing lunch (own expense) at one of the open-air restaurants that line the waterfront or take a stroll through the back streets for impressive views along the coast?
After your visit to Vernazza, meet your tour guide to drive to the next town Monterosso. It is the largest of the five coastal villages known as the Cinque Terre. The village is located on hills cultivated with lemons, vines, and olives. Its amazing beaches, its beautiful reefs, and the sea’s crystal clear waters make this village one of the most popular on the Italian Riviera. Monterosso is divided into two parts marked by the medieval tower of Aurora. The old town of Monterosso is dominated by the ruins of the castle and characterized by typical narrow medieval streets, carruggi, with multi-colored terraced houses, shops, and restaurants.
