The melodies are sung in the Viennese dialect and the music comes from accordions, double-necked contraguitars and fiddles.

They are renowned not just for their fare but for the special atmosphere that characterises them, a uniquely Austrian sensation known as  gemütlichkeit, a mix of comfort, cosiness and friendliness.
