We start the tour by picking you up at your accommodation. From there we travel to the Teya Maya train station. Here you will board the new and magnificent Southeast Train, which will take you to Izamal Station. There we will meet and board the unit that will be waiting for you to begin this journey.
From the Izamal Maya Train Station we will travel to the city of Izamal where our first stop will be at the Ex Convent of San Antonio Padua where you will see the majesty of this building that was founded in the years 1561.
From there we will visit the Art Museum, which exhibits all the art-historical culture of the Yucatecan region as well as some points of the Mexican Republic.
Then we will board the unit to take you to the Grand Master of the Art of Jewellery Cocoyol and we will have a workshop where he will explain how they make this type of jewellery. Finally, we will travel to the Paper Mache Workshop where we will do regional crafts.
After the workshop we will stop at a herbalist's shop where we will have the opportunity to buy the ancient Mayan medicine that has been used from generation to generation, where our hosts, experts in the area, will be able to explain its use to us.
At the end of the workshops we will go to a restaurant in the village where you will be able to taste the typical food of the region (not included in the price).
Finally, we will go to the famous city of Kimbilá, where all the guayaberas are currently made and exported internationally, and you will be able to meet the makers.
Finally, we will return to the city of Mérida, where we will drop you off at your accommodation.
