Visit the rich religious heritage of Mexico on a tour of the Sanctuary of Guadalupe, the archaeological site of 2,500 years of Teotihuacan and the colonial church of Santiago in Tlatelolco. Along the way, listen to the attractive stories and legends of our local guide, giving life to the magic of each place.
 
The adventure begins while visiting the Plaza de las Tres Culturas, the main square of Tlatelolco, and you learn about the 3 main periods of the history of Mexico: pre-Columbian, Colonial Spanish, and the Modern Independent Mestizo Nation. Stop before the Church of Santiago, which was built on the Aztec ruins in 1522, and learn about the last position of the Aztecs against the conqueror Hernán Cortes.
 
Go to the largest sanctuary in Mexico, the Basilica de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, where it is believed that the Patroness Holy of Mexico, Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, appeared to San Juan Diego. Here, on the site that houses the tilma (layer) of San Juan Diego, you can take a look at the ancient and new basilicas. 
 
On the way to Teotihuacan, you will stop at an obsidian workshop where you will learn about this technic and its importance for Teotihuacan, seize the opportunity, and buy some handicrafts! Later, you will have the opportunity to taste authentic Mexican flavors in an optional tasting of spirits and lunch (at your own cost).
 
Then, explore the 2,500-year-old Teotihuacán settlement, the birthplace of the gods. Contemplate the mysterious origins of the site while walking along the avenue of 2.5 miles (4 km) of the dead, let yourself surprised by the 243 steps of the Pyramid of the Sun and see the decorations of jade and obsidian in the Pyramid of the Moon. Look at the ornamentations of the birds in the pillars of the Quetzalpapalotl Palace and admire the sizes of a snake deity in the temple of the feathered snake.
