Learn how to cook like a Sicilian mother!

At 9am appointment with the chef at Porta Messina (The ancient Entrance of Taormina) for a little coffee break. The tour will begin at the Taormina market with an explanation of the displayed products and how they can be handled. After the explanation, we buy the ingredients that we need for the lesson. 

After reaching the restaurant, you will find an already prepared table with all the tools on and you will be equipped with an apron. We will start making homemade pasta with a very traditional method. After the fresh pasta, we proceed to make “homemade Caponata” with the vegetables that we bought at the market.

During the lesson, we will prepare many other dishes of the Sicilian culinary tradition such as fresh sardines, zucchini flowers and more...Once finished cooking, all participants will sit at a table for tasting the prepared dishes and different Sicilian wines and liquors. Mineral water and coffee included, of course. All guests will be given a nice recipe in English and a certificate of participation from the Chef.
