Before lunch, we’ll stop by the Twin Lakes of Buyan and Tamblingan, which were created by volcanic activity thousands of years ago. Next up, a tasty local lunch (only included if selected) with a view of the highland scenery, before moving on to visit two of Bali’s holiest temples.

Ulun Danu Beratan Temple dates back to the 17th century when it was built to worship the Hindu trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. Today, locals come from far and wide to lay colourful local offerings at this picturesque water temple.

Once you’ve snapped your photos, we’ll continue to Taman Ayun Temple, a UNESCO Heritage site that directly translates as ‘beautiful garden’. Admire ponds full of fish and lotus flowers and marvel at impressive Balinese architecture. Your guide will explain how ancient royals conducted daily life here hundreds of years ago.
