Along the city's famous slopes and narrow streets, experience a quiet and picturesque atmosphere, its colorful houses, and centuries-old churches, such as the basilica and monastery of São Bento. An important baroque architectural complex of the order Beneditino do Brasil, the riverside market, and local artists' ateliers make up the scenery. 

In Quatro Cantos, the most important place of the famous carnival in Olinda, learn a little about the technique of bringing the giant puppets to life. 

As the sun begins to set, a landscape of vibrant colors is created over the horizon, highlighting even more the architectural beauty and vibrant cores of the facades of historic buildings, especially Praça da Sé, the highest part of the city.
