The Andes mountain range holds a significant portion of our history and culture, and serves as a meeting point for the people of Mendoza. It invites us to travel along its winding roads, unveiling unique landscapes throughout the journey. We will encounter man-made marvels such as the dam at Potrerillos, along with natural wonders including the Puente del Inca and Mount Aconcagua.

We will set off early in the morning via Route 7 towards Cacheuta, alongside the Mendoza River, featuring views of the majestic Cordón del Plata mountain range and Potrerillos. Next, we will continue on to Uspallata, a pre-Hispanic settlement of the Huarpe indigenous people, as well as the villages of Picheuta, Polvaredas, Punta de Vacas, and the former ski station Los Penitentes.

We will then reach the Puente del Inca, a natural architectural formation with hot springs. Just a few kilometres further, at 2,750 metres above sea level, lies the viewpoint of Cerro Aconcagua, the Colossus of the Americas, standing at an altitude of 6,962 metres.

Finally, we will arrive at Las Cuevas (the last Argentinian village at the Chilean border, situated 3,200 metres above sea level), and if the weather and road conditions permit, we will conclude the excursion with a visit to the Christ the Redeemer monument. In the afternoon, there will be a stop for lunch at a local restaurant before returning to the hotel.  

Cerro Aconcagua viewpoint (6,959 m): The place where we will have the best view of the mountain and which serves as the entrance to the Aconcagua Provincial Park.

Las Cuevas: The last Argentinian settlement, located at the entrance to the tunnel connecting us with the Republic of Chile.

In winter, the excursion will proceed as far as local authorities allow, due to weather conditions and the state of the route (Relevant authorities: gendarmerie; road authority).
