The beaches of Normandy went down in history in 1944 when Allied forces landed to rescue Europe from Nazi invasion.
Spend an entire day in Normandy with our guide and immerse yourself in the pivotal events that led to the success of the D-Day landings on June 6, 1944. The day kicks off with a visit to Pointe du Hoc, the historic location where one of these significant operations unfolded.
Following this, you’ll explore Omaha Beach before heading to the American Cemetery in Colleville, where you’ll have the chance to honor those who fought for freedom. The journey continues to Arromanches, now a seaside resort but once a crucial target for Allied forces due to its artificial harbor, which was vital for supplying troops with weapons and ammunition.
Here, you can explore the city and enjoy an included lunch. Weather permitting, the final stop will be at Juno Beach, where Canadian forces faced and overcame strong enemy resistance upon landing.
