Our itinerary begins by crossing the ancient walls of the city and the religious centre of Piazza dei Miracoli, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most important centres of medieval art in the world, to continue along Via Santa Maria, an ancient street that connected the religious centre to Piazza dei Cavalieri with its church, the prestigious University la Normal founded by Napoleon Bonaparte and the Gualandi Tower, where the famous Count Ugolino, one of the protagonists of Dante's Divine Comedy, died of hunger.

The visit continues through the ancient medieval district Borgo stretto up to the middle bridge from which you can enjoy the splendid view of the Lungarni with its ancient palaces rich in history, the food market, and the university area surrounded by surprising medieval towers.
