The “Open Air Museum of rock curved churches”, was built by the early Christians there, hiding from the persecution of the Roman soldiers. Due to the incredibly beautiful frescoes, adorning the walls of these early churches of Christianity carved into volcanic rocks, Cappadocia’s famous Open Air Museum has been included in UNESCO’s World Heritage List, as one of the cultural wonders of the world. 

Continuation to Rose Valley, which owes its name to the different shades and intensities of the pink colour of its rocks that vary according to weather conditions: day, temperature, and season. 

It is an exceptional natural wonder - the giant monuments left by Mother Nature in Love Valley. Situated in the very heart of modern-day Turkey this natural wonder sits on a high plateau over a thousand meters in altitude. Rainfall is sparse in this area and the place has hot dry summers and bitterly cold snowy winters. There is little rainfall and so the region is generally arid. In this environment, huge phallic natural structures seem like some sort of ancient homage to male fertility. However, they are far from man-made despite the possible resemblance to manhood. 

You will then continue to Avanos village of the region where you will meet with one of the most colourful personalities of Cappadocia, the old master of pottery, at the primitive atelier that he built personally in labyrinth-like caves of the village, where the earth is soft and reddish – an ideal raw material for the area’s traditional business of pottery making.

After lunch, stop to photograph the Devrent Valley and its different figures formed in the rock and the Pasabag Valley and its fairy chimneys. End the day with a visit to a carpet factory where you will learn about the manufacture of this centuries-old Turkish tradition.

At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
