Set off and go on down to Rhyolite which is jam-packed full of ruins that you can roam around and get a feel for what could have happened at this ghost town filmmaker favorite back in the day. Abandoned many moons ago, it’s been left for dead. Once teeming with gold diggers, more than a fair few flocked to this spot in hopes of getting rich. It now serves as a set for many a film or documentary and although it may seem a shadow of its former self it is clear to see the calm after the storm as well.
Cruising down in to the valley, you’ll get your first glimpse at the Mars-like land which sucks you in with its strange but undeniable beauty where nature and wildlife go together like two peas in a pod. The deserts seem to just go on and on. Throw yourself back thousands of years as you take a step back into history. Stacked full of mini mountains, golden sands and wonderful wildlife - there’s a lot to get to grips with here.
Feast your eyes on the millions of acres of seemingly untouched terrain which as you'll soon come to notice has yet to be captured in all its glory, photos that you're bound to have seen in geography books and videos that you've seen on the Discovery Channel just don't do this place justice! To make sure you get to relive this moment time and time again, you'll be able to get as many photos as your memory card can handle at the breath taking stop off points: Hell’s Gate, Badwater, Zabriskie’s Point, the Devil’s Golf Course, the Furnace Creek Museum, the Salt Lake, the Sand Dunes and Artists Pallet.
