In our visit of approximately one hour you will have the opportunity to see the ground floor of this marvellous work, an example of Sevillian architecture.
This palace, which is located next to the church of San Esteban, was ordered to be built by the Marquis of Tarifa in the 15th century. After a trip to Jerusalem, he realised that from his house to the shrine of the Cruz del Campo was the same distance as between the place where he was told that Pilate's Praetorium was and Mount Calvary, hence the name of this palace.
The house is an example of Gothic-Mudejar architecture in the city and in its rooms and courtyards we can enjoy the sculptures and portrait galleries that decorate its walls as well as a fine example of tile work.
