Buraco das Araras is one of the most unbelievable places you will ever visit! It's a doline, a hole no less than 127 meters deep and 500 meters in diameter, where around 50 pairs of macaws live, most of them scarlet macaws. They fly back and forth in an incredible spectacle while tending to their nests. Some of them even fly in groups, which is a sight to behold!

To observe them, several viewpoints have been set up around the hole, with telescopes that help you get a closer look not only at the macaws but also at other birds that inhabit the place, such as curicacas, caracara, blackbirds, rooks, parrots and parakeets.

To get there, you'll have to walk about 970 meters through the riparian forest, where you can already get a taste of the tour, as several birds are found along the trail.
