No trip to Oahu Island would be complete without a visit to the Pearl Harbor National Memorial, the most visited tourist attraction in Hawaii.
This tour will take you to the Pearl Harbor National Memorial. You will be picked up in a nice air-conditioned vehicle driven by a professional driver/tour guide.
The Arizona Memorial Tickets are included in this tour ( Please read our disclaimer regarding Arizona Memorial tickets.)
When you arrive at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center, the tour guide will escort you inside and provide a professional orientation for you. You will have time to explore the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center.
Take some time to visit the Pearl Harbor Museums Road to War and Attack. These museums will give you insight into the causes, planning, and execution of the attack on Pearl Harbor. Watch the 23-minute documentary about the attack on Pearl Harbor, featuring film footage taken during the attack. Take the navy-operated shuttle boat to the Arizona Memorial. On the boat ride, use the time to admire Pearl Harbor.
From the boat, you can get a great view of the USS Missouri. While on the Arizona Memorial, you can walk down its length. Look upon the wreck of the USS Arizona through holes cut into the floor. Take some time to reflect as you look upon the memorial wall in the Memorial's shrine room.
Once you have returned from the Arizona Memorial, you can head to the Pearl Harbor Transportation Depot. There you can catch the bus that will take you to Ford Island for the battleship USS Missouri. Before heading to the USS Missouri, don't forget to stop and visit the USS Oklahoma Memorial to pay your respects to those who died aboard the USS Oklahoma on December 7, 1941.
One of the most powerful ships ever constructed, the Iowa-Class Battleship served with distinction from WWII to the Gulf War. The USS Missouri battleship has been featured in several films and was the site of the Japanese surrender, which ended WWII.
On the way back to Waikiki, you will be taken on a short drive-through tour of Historical Downtown Honolulu. You get to see the famous golden statue of Hawaii’s legendary monarch, King Kamehameha the Great. View the famous Iolani Palace, the only Royal Palace on American soil. See Washington Place, the historic home of Hawaii’s Governors. View the unique architecture of the Hawaii State Capitol building.
