100 as a decimal

In mathematics, the term "decimal" refers to a number that is expressed in base-10 notation, which is the standard system of numeration used in most parts of the world. In this system, the digits 0 through 9 are used to represent all the possible values of a number, and the position of each digit in the number determines its value.

The decimal representation of a number is often used to express values with a fractional component, or to represent very large or very small numbers in a more compact form. For example, the decimal 0.125 represents the fraction 1/8, and the decimal 3.14 represents the value of pi to two decimal places.

The number 100 as a decimal is simply 100.00. This can be written as the fraction 100/1, which is equal to 100. In decimal notation, the number 100 is expressed simply as the digit 100, with no fractional component.
