The scenic drive from Las Vegas to the world famous Upper Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend offers you unforgettable views of the Virgin River Gorge and the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument as well as an 80-mile span across the Colorado Plateau.

Arriving at Page, Arizona, you will be greeted by the sight of Lake Powell and the Glen Canyon Dam from the motor coach. Upper Antelope Slot Canyon offers amazing photo opportunities of sculpted sandstone walls through a walkable corridor at the bottom of the canyon floor. It was formed by flash flood waters that rushed into the cracks of the Navajo sandstone along with the power of wind erosion over millions of years.

The narrow opening at the top allows daylight to pierce through and reflect off the various formations and surfaces of the canyon walls. This forms a myriad of photogenic angles. It is precisely this phenomenon that made this particular area a popular location for photographers and tourists alike.

Your trip also includes Horseshoe Bend Scenic Overlook, where the Colorado River makes a 280 degree turn around a horseshoe-shaped rock formation. A roundtrip hike of 1.5 miles with some incline will connect you with the magnificent overlook that towers over 1000 feet above the curve of the Colorado River that runs below.
