Highlights
• At 4:30 pm Departure from the hotel towards the Gastronomy museum, the museum occupies one of the most beautiful colonial mansions on Rua da Estrela, extensively restored to tell the history of Maranhão cuisine to local visitors and tourists, who can enjoy regional flavors and enjoy all the elements that make up the cuisine of our cuisine.
• At 5:30 pm we will proceed to the wall of the Palacio Dos Leoes from where we will enjoy a beautiful sunset feeling the gentle breeze that blows from the bay of São Marcos. Then we will take a walking tour of Praça Pedro II and Benedito Leite observing the architecture of 17th century houses, going down Rua da Estrela that gives access to Cachaçaria Da Ilha, and after a drink, our next stop will be to try the cuisine of Maranhão with its exotic flavors, such as cuxá rice with grilled fish accompanied by draft beer flavored with Flower Of Vinagreira in the typical restaurant of the same name, in the most charming corner of the historic center. This visit includes a brief visit to the kitchen to catch a glimpse of the delicacies produced there with a tasty dinner. And to sweeten the evening a light Maria Isabel ice cream with a mixture of cupuaçu, coconut and pepper jelly with hibiscus.
