A 6 km trek to Meenmutty falls from Neyyar is perhaps the best trekking trail in the Sanctuary. You see Athirumala, which is the base camp for the Agastyakoodam pilgrimage on the way. After the long walk through the dense forests, you will be greeted by the voice of a cascade even from a distance – the Meenmutty falls.  

After another two kilometers of walking, you will reach the Kombaikani waterfalls. Close by is a forest camp house, where trekkers can take rest. Forest guides and cook will accompany you on this trek, which requires the permission of the forest department.
