Hike up Table Mountain either via the most exciting and thrilling India Venster route where we will hike both the northern and the western slopes with views over the City and Camps Bay and the Atlantic coastline where we can go down the cable way or the Kasteelpoort & Tranquillity Cracks is a circular hike with the most spectacular views over the Atlantic which take you up the 12 Apostles to find hidden gems of caves and yellow wood trees in the ‘Cracks of Tranquillity’.
There are a number of fantastic hiking routes to the summit of Table Mountain that require moderate fitness and offer an extraordinary nature experience right in the heart of the city. We will hike up Table Mountain either via Platteklip Gorge or Skeleton Gorge through the spectacular Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Once we’ve arrived at the top, the opportunities for taking stunning pictures and getting endless incredible views of Cape Town and surrounds will be astounding! But wherever you are – top or bottom – the views, nature experience and beautiful, rich fynbos are impressive. There may be times when you forget that the city is really not so far away.
Your professional, knowledgeable and qualified mountain guide will ensure your safe passage to the top of this iconic mountain (weather permitting). If you find you are too tired to walk down, you have the option of taking the cable car (for guest’s own account).
This is a great chance for nature enthusiasts and adventurous folk to have fun outdoors whilst being physically active and learning or utilising their hiking skills and getting that real sense of accomplishment!
