Mozart and Strauss concert at the stunning Schönbrunn Palace

Enter the magnificent grounds of Schonbrunn Palace, a favored summer residence of many Habsburg rulers and officially the most visited tourist attraction in Vienna. In imperial times the palace was the setting for sumptuous festivities with musical performances from some of the greatest musicians the world has ever seen. Indeed the famous musical duel between Mozart and Salieri took place during one of these concerts.



Head for the former Orangery, originally intended to store fruit but subsequently renovated into a splendid concert hall. The first half of the performance will be dedicated to overtures, arias, and duets by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart such as “The Marriage of Figaro,” “The Magic Flute” and “Don Giovanni”.
