We will discover how Berlin was destroyed after the Third Reich and tell you what it was like to live in a divided city. We will talk about the famous ghost stations and what happened to the underground lines. During the tour, we will visit the STASI Museum, learning the details of what and who they were, as well as the methods they used to keep the population under control. In this museum we will also see an exhibition of the office and working quarters of the former Minister of State Security or head of the STASI; Erich Mielke.

We will see and show you what remains of the famous Berlin Wall and what is symbolically left of the German Democratic Republic. Not to mention what is known as the Berlin Airlift, which took centre stage at the former Tempelhof Airport.

We will analyse the reasons that led the German Democratic Republic to erect the Wall and the reasons that caused it to fall. We will discover the ingenious ways in which Berliners tried to cross the Wall that separated them from their loved ones: successes and failures in their quest for freedom.

On the guided tour of the Berlin Wall, we will see the remains of the death strip, as well as the place where the fall of the Wall began. We will talk about the abusive border controls and the famous escapes from the Berlin Wall. During the tour, we will talk about the latent communist architecture of the city and go by public transport (not included) to one of Berlin's great avenues during the period of separation: the Karl-Marx Allee, used for the annual East German May Day parade. This avenue still displays this communist magnificence today.

This tour will also provide us with familiar images from the films The Lives of Others, Good Bye, Lenin! and the current Netflix series Lady Gambit. This is the tour of choice for many of the guides on our team. If you take the tour, you will know why.
