    Embark on a minibus journey to the lost city of Pompeii. At the arrival, enjoy a 2.5 hours tour of the Pompeii excavation site together with an official guide.

     This once flourishing town was buried by volcanic ash and pumice in Mount Vesuvius' fateful eruption in 79 AD and forgotten for hundreds of years until one day, it was rediscovered by a surveying engineer in 1748. As you wander through this amazing archaeological site, you can only imagine how life was like as you gaze at colourful frescoes, and well-preserved artefacts.

     After the visit to the site, enjoy free time for lunch, before continuing with a visit to Mount Vesuvis. Hop on to the bus for a scenic ride up mainland Europe's only active volcano to 1000 metres, where you will disembark and hike to the rim. Upon arrival, you will be met by an alpine guide who will provide fascinating information about the crater. Whilst here, you can enjoy free time to admire the breathtaking views over the Gulf of Naples.

     In the afternoon, you will make your way back to Sorrento where your eye-opening tour will come to an end.
